Enhancing Deliver Health’s Website with Accessibility, Automation, and User-Focused Design

Deliver Health is a significant project in my portfolio, representing a focus on user-friendliness, accessibility, and content automation. The website integrates custom code with the robust features of WordPress to create a seamless experience for both users and administrators.

This project was completed during my time at Rise Interactive, where I managed both front-end and back-end development. My responsibilities included designing the main page layout and developing custom backend features that enable posts to display automatically on the homepage. This custom integration eliminated the need for manual content updates, ensuring that the website’s content stays current without extra administrative effort.

Working with the Rise Interactive team, we prioritized features that enhance usability and simplify maintenance:

• Automated Content Updates: I implemented custom code that automatically pulls in new posts to the homepage. This streamlined approach keeps the content fresh and minimizes manual updating, allowing the Deliver Health team to focus more on content creation and less on website maintenance.

• Accessible, User-Friendly Design: The website design emphasizes accessibility and user experience, with rapid loading times, easy navigation, and a responsive layout that caters to all user devices. This accessible approach aligns with Deliver Health’s mission to provide user-centered services.

• Scalable, Maintainable Backend: The backend is built for scalability, allowing for future expansion and updates with minimal disruption. This adaptability ensures that Deliver Health’s digital presence can grow and evolve without sacrificing performance.

Team Collaboration and Positive Impact

The success of this project was due in large part to the close collaboration between the design, QA, and development teams. This teamwork provided an enriching experience, helping me grow my WordPress skills and explore the full potential of combining a well-established CMS with custom code for a high-performing website. Working with such a skilled team deepened my understanding of the value of team-based problem-solving and innovative solutions.

Since its launch, the Deliver Health website has become a cornerstone of the client’s online presence, showcasing their services through a reliable, automated, and accessible platform. The automated features have allowed the Deliver Health team to efficiently update content and maintain user engagement, with the site’s rapid loading speeds contributing to positive user feedback and continued client satisfaction.
